Willow Tree Practice

Mental & Behavioral Health

What we're about

Willow Tree Practice started in 2024 in an effort to create a healthy, healing space for both clients and therapists. We want to provide exceptional, competent care to those in the Pioneer Valley. Our goal is to encourage all people to build sustainable practices and provide the support and insight to do so.

Meet Our Team

We include some information about our therapists and their approaches below.

With that said, the relationship with your therapist is what matters most (and research backs this up!). There is a metaphor for therapy that goes like this: Therapy is like you and your therapist are walking together through a dark forest. This is your therapist's first time here, but you've lived your whole life in this forest. You've really adapted to all the unique features (like avoiding the area with the tigers). Your therapist has studied all about forests, knows about the common animals, and maybe they have a flashlight. But they've never been in this forest before. Together, you two get to navigate through, teaching each other.

Toni Andrews, MSW, LICSW

Toni has been in the therapy field since 2019, when she graduated from Westfield State University with her Masters in Social Work. Toni has training and extensive experience delivering Dialectical-Behavior Therapy (DBT) style treatment. Primarily, Toni takes a trauma-informed approach with clients, which anticipates how our past human experiences inform our current patterns.

Liam Botelho, MSW, LICSW

Liam has always wanted to be a therapist. This dream finally became a reality when he graduated from Westfield State University with his Masters in Social Work in 2022. Liam has worked with children as young as six years old and enjoys working with all ages. Liam practices from Dialectical-Behavior and psychodynamic approaches. Dialectical-focused therapy works to hold two opposites together at the same time, like when we call something a bittersweet experience. Being able to appreciate the opposites together, even when it is hard, gives us a whole new perspective.
